Born 10 weeks early, I was an ugly, alien-looking 2.5 pound critter. So they named me Crystal Dawn because I was *fragile* and *early.* I’ve had an awkward relationship to this body ever since, which might be why I make this work….
It starts with a song or riff stuck in my head. Then I crochet a mask out of sequence. It’s been called ‘like watching Nico on acid’ and ‘like being let into an important secret…’
I like to touch things, so I started with a sculptural bent. But then I got tired of storage and ‘stuff’. So I began writing. Words are persuasive. Stories are forever. And I like that. Think you’ll like it too…
